Ruby-Lee

I'd like to introduce you to the newest member of our family, Ruby Lee. Nestled inside Betty's arm. Her mother, my sister, my niece, Grace's cousin and so on. How I love the web of family.

Born this afternoon by caesar, about 4.2 kilos. Her dad was there and is still beaming with joy. Mother and baby doing brilliantly. Much celebration all round (and more than a little relief). Welcome to the world Ruby-Lee!

Oh yay, I have been bordering on obsessively checking your website to see if she was here - I am slightly addicted to babies. I have a niece called Ruby too.
And she's a big baby - we love big babies in this house. Una was so healthy and strong.
I also see a strong family resemblance.

Congratulations to all your family. I can never quite get over how babies come out so complete and self contained.

Welcome bubby !
I wonder if all hospies have the same blankies ? I birthed at the Royal, and this is the same blankie I wrapped my boy in :)

Yes this is the RWH, Grace was wrapped in the same blankie. And when I first went home, I was lost without it. None of the others seemed to work for swaddling like the hospital ones. Luckily someone gave us a couple!
thanks everyone. I'm slightly addicted to babies too. And I think she's gorgeous and looks like us. Besotted aunty I am.

Hi Janet, it's great to see a picture of Betty's new daughter Ruby-Lee. I just sent an SMS to Suzie yesterday to find out whether there was any news and she told me the very HAPPY news of Ruby-Lee's safe arrival (a late arrival I think!). Please pass on my sincere congratulations to Betty - I hope she's recovering well. The baby is gorgeous!
Warm regards,
